Hi there,
a little about me:
I'm a journalist covering business and culture for SPY, Penske Media's menswear and lifestyle website. In addition to my reporting, I edit the publication's daily newsletter, where I write about consumers and their relationship to the stuff they buy, covering everything from Etsy to cryptocurrency to the hunt for an elusive Wonka chocolate bar. (I've also written this kind of story for Slate.)

Previously, I was a reporter on Business Insider's economy team, where I also covered a range of (much different) economy topics — the pandemic's impact on small businesses, inflation, labor issues, anything major impacting people and their money. In particular, I focused on financial precarity issues, such as Social Security, retirement, and tenant protections.
Before that, I was a USA Today intern for several years. I spent the back half of 2021 doing audience work at the opinion desk, and in the two years before, I covered Congress and the 2020 presidential election at the Washington bureau.
I graduated from the University of Chicago in 2021 with degrees in English and political science. At school, I served as Managing Editor of UChicago College News and Head News Editor of The Chicago Maroon.

In particular, I am interested in writing and editing stories about the economy, culture, and politics. Those who wish to reach me may do so through this website.
